Filtration Systems Parts Manufacturer

Maintaining Service and Commitments through last minute major changes.

The Client

Our client has been a valued partner for the past decade. With a legacy spanning over a century, their commitment to innovation has led them to create cutting-edge technologies that address some of the world’s most complex filtration challenges.

The Challenges

At Worldwide Express, reliability, flexibility and honesty are at the heart of all we do. We have specially trained manufacturing couriers who are committed to delivering the highest level of service that keeps manufacturing businesses coming back to us time and time again to resolve the logistical challenges that their industry faces on a day-to-day basis.

This job was originally scheduled with a 40ft curtain trailer, arranged to collect the goods from the manufacturer in Leicestershire on a Friday, with delivery set for 8am the following Monday in a historic port town in Norfolk. All logistics were carefully planned and confirmed in advance, with goods held over the weekend in our secure warehousing facility.

On Thursday afternoon, we were informed that some of the components for delivery exceeded 3 meters in height, requiring a switch to a flatbed trailer. Thanks to our experienced operations team, we understand the complexities of handling such changes. Fortunately, with our own fleet and fully trained drivers, we were able to adapt quickly. As we operate a 24/7 service, our customers can rely on us to keep their manufacturing processes moving without disruption.

The Solution

The Job was now rebooked with a flatbed trailer rather than a curtain trailer which was a straightforward solution to the initial challenge however, the flatbed load would need a forklift truck at the delivery point that was suitable for off road use and on investigation we found that the customer receiving the delivery did not have this.

To ensure the job was completed to our usual high standard, we recognised the need for a Hiab to manage the offloading. While we were able to secure one at short notice, its limited capacity meant it couldn’t accommodate all of the pallets.

In response, we reverted to the original flatbed trailer to collect the full load from our customer. We then scheduled the Hiab to meet the delivery in Norfolk, where it handled the offloading as required, ensuring the task was completed efficiently and as requested.

The Conclusion

We allocated a full day for our driving team—not only to complete the delivery, but also to remain on-site and assist with the assembly of the delivered unit.

While this job involved several last-minute changes, our extensive network of partners and in-house capabilities allowed us to respond swiftly and effectively. Despite the challenges, the end client received exactly the service they needed, delivered with the same high standards they’ve come to expect from us.

As a result of the comprehensive service we delivered – going above and beyond the original project scope – we’ve since been offered additional work. It’s a testament to the trust we’ve built and the value we bring to every project.
