Supporting Point of Sale Installation & Disposal

Multiple drops & drivers supporting POS installation and disposal for leading UK electrical retail stores.

The Client

As an award-winning expert in the design, production, and installation of retail display solutions, our customer excels in supporting global enterprises. Their deep expertise is demonstrated through long-standing partnerships with some of the world’s most renowned brands. At the heart of their business philosophy is an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service and value to every client.

The Challenges

We are tasked with delivering to multiple retail sites across the UK. Loading out of Bradford, our role was to meet the fitters at each site to provide the POS materials. We then needed to wait for the old POS to be removed so we could dispose of it. In total, we supported ten stores over a period of one week. The unique challenge of such a job was to ensure that we had the right drivers in place to cover delivery and waiting time as the installation took place. All deliveries were to take place outside of store opening hours and had very specific time slots.

The Solution

Using our Luton Tail-lift Vehicles and utilising multiple drivers, we were able to offer our client exceptional value for money and service. Loading in the evening at around 4pm, we were able to get to the stores in good time between 6 – 8am the next day to meet the fitter and ensure that disposal and installation occurred before the store opened its doors to customers.

As with all high-value goods, we ensured that we provided each vehicle with an ample supply of straps and blankets. We took multiple photos of the load, which we passed on to our client so they had peace of mind. All tracking is live.

We essentially offered our customer a White Glove Service at a very competitive price.

Patience is paramount in these cases as things often don’t go in or come out quickly, and the fitters are already under such tight time constraints it would negatively impact the job if a driver were rushed. We found that utilising more than one driver per vehicle/run ensured that our drivers did not need to watch clocks.

The Conclusion

Our drivers could maintain their optimum work-life balance and have their legal downtime.

Our customer was extremely satisfied with the service and appreciated the photos taken in-store at the end of each job.
